Opening today in San Francisco and continuing through March 23, the forum will bring together 25 industry experts to discuss beauty-related topics. iArtist The Makeup Show Forum, put on by the team that produces The Makeup Show, has opened its first ever event today, March 21,at the Grand Hyatt in San Francisco, California. Open to the public, the event will continue through Friday, March 23. Participants are also granted full access to The Makeup Shop, held on the following March 24 and 25, with the purchase of an iArtist Forum ticket.

Cocotique, a deluxe beauty box subscription company for women of color, surveyed 1,200 of its subscribers for the survey, which also found that 11 percent of women of color prefer relaxed or protective styles, 6 percent prefer to straighten their hair with heat and 2 percent prefer locs.
