I love autumn but…
Colder weather requires TLC from head to toe. Not only does your skincare routine demand a change, but so does your makeup! Skin tones lighten as tans fade; skin becomes drier due to blistery outdoor air and equally moisture-sucking indoor heaters; cuticles dry out and lips chap. Depending on where you live in the country you’ll need to adjust and make some dry skin beauty product purchases. Think: emollient and hydrating.
Here is a beauty grocery list to ensure your skin and makeup shine all season long:
1. A creamy soap and a creamy face cleanser to remove makeup
2. A rosewater skin freshener (skip alcohol-based products if you can; they tend to further dry out skin)
3. An oil-based moisturizer (if you have normal or dry skin—but if you have oily skin, don’t banish moisturizers; look for something light)
4. Eye cream or eye gel (yes, even under eyes and lids get dry)
5. Rosebud lip salve to moisturize lips, cuticles, and chapped skin
